Someone had written a blog post on the food delivery robots before, but I must double-dip to share a quick rant and a word of advice:
If you see one in the wild, do not hesitate to strike first. On a UCLA-bound Uber ride last weekend, en route to a conference, my driver almost got into a car accident because of a delivery robot crossing the road. The Uber driver initially didn't notice the robot because it was too short, and its color blended in with the road.
I repeat: DO NOT HESITATE TO STRIKE FIRST. Do not be fooled by its anthropomorphic and care-instinct-cueing design.
