AI generated art has been a bit of a re-occuring theme within class. I just want to share this LA times piece that I came across that uses depictions of LA within literature, poetry and mythology as prompts for Midjourney creations.
Some of the descriptions are really beautiful, and I find the conceptual distance between the literary descriptions and the images fascinating. Despite knowing how these systems work and why the images look the way they do, I still feel this sense of enchantment watching the images being rendered before my eyes.
